Identify landmarks near you by pointing your phone at them.
Standing in front of a statue with no plaque and no idea who it is? Odyssey Guide identifies statues, murals and buildings from one photo, and tells you what you are looking at — and why it is there.
Walk up. Raise phone. Tap shutter. Know.
Point the camera at a facade, a statue, a mural — you get an identification and a short description right where you are standing. No guessing at search terms for a thing you cannot name.
Why not just look it up? Because you do not know what it is called. That is the whole problem this solves.
Open-air sculpture gallery on the Piazza della Signoria — raised in the 1380s for the Florentine Republic's public ceremonies, and open-arched onto the piazza ever since.

On the map, and inside every walk.
Landmark ID lives on the camera rail on the Explore map, and on the map rail inside a walk. Spot something the tour never mentions? Identify it without leaving the route.
Each identification costs 10 Walking Tickets — and tickets can be earned free by watching optional short videos.
Every identification is saved to your history with the spot you were standing in and how far off it you were — so the thing you could not name is still there when you get home, and still on the map.
Questions about landmark photo ID
How do I identify landmarks near me?
Open the camera from the map rail, point it at the thing, and take the shot. You get a name and a short description back on the spot — no search terms required, which matters because you do not know what it is called.
What can it identify?
Statues, monuments, buildings, churches, bridges, fountains, artwork, street features and signs — the sort of thing that carries no plaque and gives you nothing to type into a search box.
Does it only work during a walk?
No. The camera sits on the Explore map, so you can identify something on an ordinary walk to the shops. It is on the map rail inside a walk too, where a per-walk cap applies.
Do I have to pay to use it?
Each identification costs Walking Tickets, and Walking Tickets can be earned by watching optional short videos instead of paying for them.
Never squint at an unlabeled statue again.
