Self-guided walking tours in Rome

Pick one of the 7 walks on this page, tap Start, and follow the route on the map. Narration plays as you reach each stop — 66 of them across the 7 walks — so there is no group to keep up with and no departure time to make.

Walks unlock with Walking Tickets instead of a cash price per tour. A standard walk unlocks for 50 Walking Tickets, a community walk for 50, and a premium walk for 500. Unlocking all 7 walks on this page, 66 narrated stops between them, would come to 350 tickets. You can earn tickets by watching optional short videos, buy a bundle, or subscribe — a subscription makes every walk in the library free to start. See how pricing works.

No. Nothing is booked and no time slot is held. They run from 2.7 km to 4.3 km. Pick whichever fits the time you have, start when you feel like it, stop for coffee when you want to, and your progress is kept if you decide to finish the rest another day.

Yes. The 7 walks here, 66 stops between them, are the ones we have built so far; you are not limited to them. Tell Odyssey Guide what you are into — history, food, architecture — pick how far you want to walk and where to start, and it builds a personalized route with narration at every stop. That works in cities worldwide, not only where the library already reaches. How personalized walks work.
