Downtown Chicago tells the story of a city transformed after the Great Chicago Fire into a laboratory for modern architecture and engineering. The walk highlights Millennium Park, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cityfront Plaza, Marina City, the Carbide and Carbon Building, and the Chicago Cultural Center. Along the river and through public spaces, it shows Chicago’s civic vision of making art, architecture, and culture part of everyday life.
